Theatre & Live Performance Projects

01
The Hermit
Spontaneously inspired after reading about a bizarre 18th Century trend of hiring a Hermit, lonely Lord Ainsley Diggs signs an agreement with Hamish, a modern day hermit, to live in a purpose built hermitage at the bottom of his estate grounds.
Inviting this solitary sage to live in such close proximity is an unconscious plan to impress and lure his ‘friends’ to spend more time with him.
However, the unravelling costs Diggs and his friends pay for this unique venture stretch far beyond the digits in Diggs’ abundant bank account, which raises the question, what is the price you’re willing to pay to avoid loneliness?

02
Jack The Lad
"Jack the lad" is a slang term for a confident, charismatic, and often cheeky young man. It usually describes someone who is a bit mischievous, brash, or irresponsible, but possesses enough charm to get away with it.
In this black comedy, urban terror strikes in the darkness of the night as a tall, pale oily skinned man wearing a cape, who has an incredible ability to jump, begins frightening women walking alone at night. Police are called to investigate and while building a map of these attacks, descriptions point to one man being the culprit, but history and Victorian myth points to another, 'Spring Heeled Jack'.

03
In A Voice
‘In A Voice’ is an exploration of communication, identity, and the unseen brilliance within those we underestimate. Each character represents the four corners of society; skeptics, believers, the newly initiated and those who are at the centre of it.
When a mother hears the telepathic voice of her non-verbal autistic daughter, she uncovers a hidden brilliance that challenges her beliefs, her marriage and the very meaning of communication.

04
Lilith & Junia
In the afterlife, forgotten Apostle, Junia is trying to hold onto her last shred of self worth. Ever since her name was changed to a man’s name in the Bible she’s been pleading to The Council of Final Conclusions to have it corrected. Her final appeal has just been refused.
The defeated Junia meets Adam's first wife, the fearless Lilith, who spills the tea on the reality of God’s masculine autocracy and promises to help Junia reclaim her rightful place.
Lilith and Junia’s friendship flowers, but as Junia finds community amongst other forgotten women from history, myths and folklore, Lilith’s insecurities are triggered and she starts to feel abandoned and jealous. What unfolds is a twisted tale of toxic friendship.

I ensured all performers were paid and provided with professional photos of the gig to use for personal self promotion.
